- Place onion, bread crumbs, parsley, mint, olive oil, cheese, 1/2 cup of water and egg into food processor.
- Add to chopped meat.
- Make keftedes, meat loaf or hamburgers. For meatloaf I often use a combination of beef, lamb and pork.
- Keftedes may be broiled or sautéed. If sautéed, roll lightly in flour and sauté in olive oil. Drain on paper towels.
- Ingredients can be varied according to individual tastes. Chopped turkey can be used for low cholesterol diets. If making meat loaf, 1 small can of tomatoes sauce can be added to gravy in meat loaf at end of cooking period.
