TURKEY STUFFING

This was mine and the whole family’s favorite part of Thanksgiving. This amount is fine for a 12lb. turkey (rub turkey with lemon juice)

  • 1 package of stuffing croutons
  • 6-7 stalks of parsley
  • 1 cup of celery chopped
  • 1/2 cup of onions chopped
  • 2 bottle of clam juice
  • 1 dozen of oysters cut up
  1. Stuffing
    1. Rub turkey with:
      1. Poultry seasoning
      2. 1 t pepper
      3. a little salt
      4. 1/2 cup of melted margarine
    2. Place stuffing in cavity of turkey.
    3. Place turkey in hot oven and lower the oven to 350 degrees.
    4. Place 2 cups of water (or chicken broth) in pan with turkey.
    5. Let Turkey roast for about 4 hours. If it becomes too brown cover loosely with foil.
    6. If stuffing seems dry you can add water or broth.
  2. Gravy
    1. Boil together neck and giblets, NOT the liver, 1 whole onion and 2 bay leaves.
    2. Remove the fat in turkey pan and add above broth to pan.
    3. May thicken with flour
